Ok, I'm back!
Tried venting on Facebook... being as vague as possible... and was told maybe I shouldn't since people could figure out who I was talking about...
...so here I am... a day later... more garbage!!! People who committed to being on the worship team but can't seem to hold up their end of things! I'm so stressed right now! I've had most of the music ready for weeks! And the last of it he should've gotten from Pastor by now but he didn't! So... he picked up some of the music last night and we are supposed to rehearse tonight! In fact, he just called... 2 hours before rehearsal... telling me he hasn't even looked at the music yet... and he isn't that skilled of a player in the first place! How does he think he can pull it together by Sunday Morning? He's got his job tomorrow... and pictures for church... and then He'll be out of town most of Saturday! So this is it! One rehearsal and he doesn't even know the stinking music yet!!!!!!!
What am I supposed to do now??? How do we go on from here? He's an adult!!! Take responsibility for yourself! As the Worship Ministry Leader, I shouldn't have to hold your hand and ask if you've practiced... or even picked up your music!!!! ITS NOT MY JOB!!!!!
And she can't stay on pitch... struggles with staying on the Melody if its too high... and can't find the harmony when its played for her.
They think they're all that! People enjoy listening to them??? I cringe every time they come up on the schedule... I dread giving them chance for special music...
I'm supposed to give everybody an opportunity to share their gifts with God and the congregation... and that is why they are on the team... (grumble, grumble)
